In memory of the 3,598 Canadians killed in action at Vimy Ridge
The Battle of Vimy Ridge was the first occasion on which all four divisions of
the Canadian Expeditionary Force participated in a battle as a cohesive
formation, and it became a Canadian national symbol of achievement and
sacrifice.
Canadian valour
and bravery brought about a fantastic victory, not only for Canadians but for
the entire Allied force.
