The Royal Canadian Legion’s annual Poppy Campaign runs from the last Friday in October through to November 11. Zone G5 and all its branches proudly support this national initiative with a strong, visible presence throughout the National Capital Region, ensuring the Poppy remains a powerful symbol of Remembrance and support for Veterans in need.
Participate as a volunteer
Each year, the campaign’s success depends on the dedication of our members. We are always looking for volunteers to help in a variety of meaningful ways, including:
- serving on the Poppy Campaign Committee for each branch
- representing the Legion in local stores during scheduled shifts
- delivering, collecting, and maintaining Poppy donation boxes in area businesses
- assisting with Wreath and Ribbon sales and managing the inventory
- counting donations at the branches
- supporting the Remembrance Dinners for Veterans at the branches
- supporting Remembrance Day activities at each local ceremony
- participating in the Remembrance Day Ceremony and parade
Thank you in advance for supporting this vital campaign. Your time and commitment help ensure we can continue caring for Veterans and their families.
Donation boxes in local businesses
Local businesses that want to show support for Canada’s Veterans can request a Poppy donation box or a Remembrance Day Wreath from the branch whose zone they are in. [Link removed on 2026-06-07, will be added back once the updates to the map boundaries are completed]
