Veterans’ services offered by the Legion to Veterans and their families are ALWAYS FREE. You do not need to be a Legion member to access these services.
Many Veterans, current and former Canadian Armed Forces members, and their families may not be getting all the support and benefits they can from Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). Often, those who have served are not aware of the help available, or find the process too difficult to manage alone.
If you are a Veteran, a current or former member of the Canadian Armed Forces (Regular or Reserve), a Merchant Navy Veteran, a current or former RCMP member, or a family member, you might be missing out on important benefits. You may also know someone who could benefit from talking to a Legion Service Officer.
Benefits You May Be Entitled To
Based on your service and situation, you could qualify for several types of support, such as:
- Your Health Care Identification Card
- Health Care Program
- Disability Pension Program
- Veterans Independence Program
- Merchant Navy Veterans: Services & Benefits
- Attendance Allowance
- Prisoner of War Compensation
- Last Post Fund
- Funeral, Burial & Grave Marking Assistance
- Income-tested Benefits
