Good day all:
The Ottawa Military History Club is will be having its next presentation right before the Remembrance Season kicks off. Attached please find the flyer for our event for 1230-1600 hrs Sunday 25 October 2026 at Branch 314 Manotick Legion. Admission is free. We have some great new presentations scheduled so come out to join us and bring a friend.
October 2026’s theme will again be focusing on the World Wars
Again, this month we are privileged to have three knowledgeable Historians who will be presenting on subjects ranging from the Great War to the 1960s.
This month, we will also be welcoming members of the Order of St George to our venue.
Remember, we are always looking for people to present so please contact me if you are interested.
We also have our website for The Ottawa Military History Club thanks to the great efforts of Jim Morris. The website includes upcoming dates and subjects for presentations, History on Film events, background on some the presenters and links to the Manotick Legion website. Check it out at https://canadianmilitaryhi.wixsite.com/omhc-history-club
If any Vendors want to sell their militaria artifacts before the presentations, we have free 6 foot tables available!!!!
The aim of the Sunday afternoon History presentations is to offer a variety of subjects on Canadian Military History including artifacts through a series of interactive lectures focusing on audience participation.
A meet and greet is held from 1230 – 1300 hrs whereby audience members can interact with the presenting historians, view artifacts and browse DVDs and books for sale for those who want to sell them. At 1300 hrs, historians begin their interactive presentations for the audience using various print, media and visual aids.
We would be very grateful if you would pass this invitation along to everyone and share on Social Media.
Best regards
